Eight Ball 'Preconception (Metro Boy Remix)' [Big Square] by metroboy

Seb Taylor is otherwise known as Digitalis, who used to release psy-tinged breakbeat on labels like Sinister and Sound Of Habib. Eight: Ball is his breaks project with vocalist Natasha Chamberlain, and although 'Preconception' isn't really doing anything new - sounds like Smithmonger from five years ago - it just passes through the net as an early doors DJ tool. Kickflip introduces elastic beats and a scything bass undertow for a tastier treat, and Metroboy - aka Ben from Ben & Lex - turns in a nice lengthy minimal opus.

Been working on a remix for Temper D's 'Wonkey Glasses' which will be coming out on Standard Audio soon. Now I've made 2 versions, both very similar but ones a bit more rave then the other haha. Dunno which one ill send to the label for releases... Think I'll play them out a bit more and see which goes down best. Anyways ignore the mix down as there mad rough, Lexy is doing me proper versions this weekend.
